The Neurodiverse Ocean Quest
Inclusive exploration for minds of all kinds
Ocean Quest dives into a sensory-rich exploration of the Salish Sea designed specifically for neurodivergent students! Our goal is to foster curiosity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the natural world while creating joyful, unforgettable moments.
Over the course of four weeks, Sea Quest offers an inclusive and supportive environment where students can engage their senses, build connections with nature, and explore marine ecosystems through hands-on activities. From the soothing sound of waves to the tactile experience of tide pool discoveries, this program celebrates unique ways of learning and experiencing the world.
Neurodivergent minds encompasses a wide range of natural variations in cognitive functioning, learning styles, and processing abilities. Neurodivergence is not a deficit or disorder but rather a diversity in human thinking, problem-solving, and perceiving the world. It highlights the value of unique perspectives and the need for inclusivity and understanding in both social and professional contexts.
